Gilfillan Memorial Church, Dundee Gilfillan interior - choir and organ gallery

The organ of four manuals and pedals was built in 1894 by John R. Miller of Dundee.   Electric action fitted by the Hope-Jones Electric Organ Company.   It was reconstructed in 1906 by Messrs. Norman E. Baird.   Rebuilt 1924 by W. Hilsdon Ltd, Glasgow.   Since then there have been many occasions when a major overhaul and cleaning operation have been necessary.  The last being in 1970.   The building itself is more of a concert hall with an upper and lower gallery on three sides of the building.   The resulting height gives excellent acoustics.
