The
lady second from the right in the front row is Muriel Anderson, a well
known
semi-professional
soprano who sang for me in the days of the Chandos
Choir - singing
the soprano solo work in Mozart's Twelfth Mass
and frequently at
Ward Chapel's festival services.
Muriel and I maintained contact all these years from 1967 to 2004.
Sadly
Muriel died in May 2004 aged 83. She remained very active until
a short while before
her death, enjoying a rich and varied social life. Her
vocal power, clarity
and range remained until the end. She will be greatly
missed by all who
knew her and were touched by her bright spirit.
