Known as the Congregational Cathedral of Scotland, Ward Chapel opened in 1833.
I include this
programme as, by the addition of instrumentalist and singers
to an organ recital, it demonstrates how three different
classes of music lover from the general public can be brought
together in an enriching manner. It also provides
a relief from an evening of just organ tone and, of course,
greatly increases the numbers in the audience. (How many
times do we see organ recitals with an audience of c. 50?)
